سورة التوبة، الآية ٤Surah At-Tawbah, ayah 4 (9:4)
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَنقُصُوكُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا وَلَمۡ يُظَٰهِرُواْ عَلَيۡكُمۡ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِمۡ عَهۡدَهُمۡ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ ٤
The meaning in English
Except those of the Mushrikûn (see V.2:105) with whom you have a treaty, and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor have supported anyone against you. So fulfil their treaty to them for the end of their term. Surely Allâh loves Al-Mattaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

التفسير الميسر
ويُستثنى من الحكم السابق المشركون الذين دخلوا معكم في عهد محدد بمدة، ولم يخونوا العهد، ولم يعاونوا عليكم أحدا من الأعداء، فأكملوا لهم عهدهم إلى نهايته المحدودة. إن الله يحب المتقين الذين أدَّوا ما أمروا به، واتقوا الشرك والخيانة، وغير ذلك من المعاصي
