سورة الأعراف، الآية ٧٢Surah Al-A'raf, ayah 72 (7:72)
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَقَطَعۡنَا دَابِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَمَا كَانُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ ٧٢
The meaning in English
So We saved him and those who were with him by a mercy from Us, and We cut the roots of those who belied Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.); and they were not believers.

فوقع عذاب الله بإرسال الريح الشديدة عليهم، فأنجى الله هودًا والذين آمنوا معه برحمة عظيمة منه تعالى، وأهلك الكفار من قومه جميعا ودمَّرهم عن آخرهم، وما كانوا مؤمنين لجمعهم بين التكذيب بآيات الله وترك العمل الصالح
