سورة الأعراف، الآية ٧٠Surah Al-A'raf, ayah 70 (7:70)
قَالُوٓاْ أَجِئۡتَنَا لِنَعۡبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَحۡدَهُۥ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعۡبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ٧٠
The meaning in English
They said: "You have come to us that we should worship Allâh Alone and forsake that which our fathers used to worship. So bring us that wherewith you have threatened us if you are of the truthful."

قالت عاد لهود عليه السلام: أدعوتنا لعبادة الله وحده وهَجْر عبادة الأصنام التي ورثنا عبادتها عن آبائنا؟ فأتنا بالعذاب الذي تخوفنا به إن كنت من أهل الصدق فيما تقول
