وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَأۡخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلَا يَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَ ٣٤
The meaning in English
And every nation has its appointed term; when their term comes, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment).

التفسير الميسر
ولكل جماعة اجتمعت على الكفر بالله تعالى وتكذيب رسله -عليهم الصلاة والسلام- وقت لحلول العقوبة بهم، فإذا جاء الوقت الذي وقَّته الله لإهلاكهم لا يتأخرون عنه لحظة، ولا يتقدمون عليه
