سورة الأعراف، الآية ٢٣Surah Al-A'raf, ayah 23 (7:23)
قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمۡنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمۡ تَغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَتَرۡحَمۡنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ ٢٣
The meaning in English
They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers."

التفسير الميسر
قال آدم وحواء: ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا بالأكل من الشجرة، وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن ممن أضاعوا حظَّهم في دنياهم وأخراهم. (وهذه الكلمات هي التي تلقاها آدم من ربه، فدعا بها فتاب الله عليه)
