سورة الأعراف، الآية ١٣٦Surah Al-A'raf, ayah 136 (7:136)
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ فِى ٱلۡيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا غَٰفِلِينَ ١٣٦
The meaning in English
So We took retribution from them. We drowned them in the sea, because they belied Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless about them.

التفسير الميسر
فانتقمنا منهم حين جاء الأجل المحدد لإهلاكهم، وذلك بإحلال نقمتنا عليهم، وهي إغراقهم في البحر؛ بسبب تكذيبهم بالمعجزات التي ظهرت على يد موسى، وكانوا عن هذه المعجزات غافلين، وتلك الغفلة هي سبب التكذيب
