سورة المائدة، الآية ٤٦Surah Al-Ma'idah, ayah 46 (5:46)
وَقَفَّيۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِعِيسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوۡعِظَةً لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ ٤٦
The meaning in English
And in their footsteps, We sent ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the Taurât (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurât (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

وأتبعنا أنبياء بني إسرائيل عيسى ابن مريم مؤمنًا بما في التوراة، عاملا بما فيها مما لم ينسخه كتابه، وأنزلنا إليه الإنجيل هاديا إلى الحق، ومبيِّنًا لما جهله الناس مِن حكم الله، وشاهدًا على صدق التوراة بما اشتمل عليه من أحكامها، وقد جعلناه بيانًا للذين يخافون الله وزاجرًا لهم عن ارتكاب المحرَّمات
