سورة الحجرات، الآية ٧Surah Al-Hujurat, ayah 7 (49:7)
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ فِيكُمۡ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ لَوۡ يُطِيعُكُمۡ فِى كَثِيرٍ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ لَعَنِتُّمۡ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ وَزَيَّنَهُۥ فِى قُلُوبِكُمۡ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ وَٱلۡفُسُوقَ وَٱلۡعِصۡيَانَ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ ٧
The meaning in English
And know that among you there is the Messenger of Allâh (صلى الله عليه وسلم). If he were to obey you (i.e. follow your opinions and desires) in much of the matter, you would surely be in trouble. But Allâh has endeared the Faith to you and has beautified it in your hearts, and has made disbelief, wickedness and disobedience (to Allâh and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم) hateful to you. Such are they who are the rightly guided.

واعلموا أن بين أظهركم رسولَ الله فتأدبوا معه؛ فإنه أعلم منكم بما يصلح لكم، يريد بكم الخير، وقد تريدون لأنفسكم من الشر والمضرة ما لا يوافقكم الرسول عليه، لو يطيعكم في كثير من الأمر مما تختارونه لأدى ذلك إلى مشقتكم، ولكن الله حبب إليكم الإيمان وحسَّنه في قلوبكم، فآمنتم، وكرَّه إليكم الكفرَ بالله والخروجَ عن طاعته، ومعصيتَه، أولئك المتصفون بهذه الصفات هم الراشدون السالكون طريق الحق
