سورة محمد، الآية ٣١Surah Muhammad, ayah 31 (47:31)
وَلَنَبۡلُوَنَّكُمۡ حَتَّىٰ نَعۡلَمَ ٱلۡمُجَٰهِدِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ وَنَبۡلُوَاْ أَخۡبَارَكُمۡ ٣١
The meaning in English
And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allâh) and As-Sâbirûn (the patient), and We shall test your facts (i.e. the one who is a liar, and the one who is truthful).

التفسير الميسر
ولنختبرنكم- أيها المؤمنون- بالقتال والجهاد لأعداء الله حتى يظهر ما علمه سبحانه في الأزل؛ لنميز أهل الجهاد منكم والصبر على قتال أعداء الله، ونختبر أقوالكم وأفعالكم، فيظهر الصادق منكم من الكاذب
