سورة ص، الآية ٦Surah Sad, ayah 6 (38:6)
وَٱنطَلَقَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِنۡهُمۡ أَنِ ٱمۡشُواْ وَٱصۡبِرُواْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِكُمۡ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَىۡءٌ يُرَادُ ٦
The meaning in English
And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your âlihah (gods)! Verily, this is a thing designed (against you)!

التفسير الميسر
وانطلق رؤساء القوم وكبراؤهم يحرِّضون قومهم على الاستمرار على الشرك والصبر على تعدد الآلهة، ويقولون إن ما جاء به هذا الرسول شيء مدبَّر يقصد منه الرئاسة والسيادة، ما سمعنا بما يدعو إليه في دين آبائنا من قريش، ولا في النصرانية، ما هذا إلا كذب وافتراء
