سورة يس، الآية ٢٨Surah Ya-Sin, ayah 28 (36:28)
وَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ ٢٨
The meaning in English
And We sent not against his people after him a host from the heaven, nor was it needful for Us to send (such a thing).

التفسير الميسر
وما احتاج الأمر إلى إنزال جند من السماء لعذابهم بعد قتلهم الرجل الناصح لهم وتكذيبهم رسلهم، فهم أضعف من ذلك وأهون، وما كنا منزلين الملائكة على الأمم إذا أهلكناهم، بل نبعث عليهم عذابًا يدمرهم
