أَوَلَمۡ يَهۡدِ لَهُمۡ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ يَمۡشُونَ فِى مَسَٰكِنِهِمۡ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ أَفَلَا يَسۡمَعُونَ ٢٦

The meaning in English

Is it not a guidance for them: how many generations We have destroyed before them in whose dwellings they do walk about? Verily, therein indeed are signs. Would they not then listen?

التفسير الميسر

أولم يتبين لهؤلاء المكذبين للرسول: كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من الأمم السابقة يمشون في مساكنهم، فيشاهدونها عِيانًا كقوم هود وصالح ولوط؟ إن في ذلك لآيات وعظات يُستدَلُّ بها على صدق الرسل التي جاءتهم، وبطلان ما هم عليه من الشرك، أفلا يسمع هؤلاء المكذبون بالرسل مواعظ الله وحججه، فينتفعون بها؟
