سورة الروم، الآية ٤٢Surah Ar-Rum, ayah 42 (30:42)
قُلۡ سِيرُواْ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلُ كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّشۡرِكِينَ ٤٢
The meaning in English
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah)."

قل -أيها الرسول- للمكذبين بما جئت به: سيروا في أنحاء الأرض سير اعتبار وتأمل، فانظروا كيف كان عاقبة الأمم السابقة المكذبة كقوم نوح، وعاد وثمود، تجدوا عاقبتهم شر العواقب ومآلهم شر مآل؟ فقد كان أكثرهم مشركين بالله
