سورة القصص، الآية ٨٢Surah Al-Qasas, ayah 82 (28:82)
وَأَصۡبَحَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوۡاْ مَكَانَهُۥ بِٱلۡأَمۡسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيۡكَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبۡسُطُ ٱلرِّزۡقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقۡدِرُ لَوۡلَآ أَن مَّنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا وَيۡكَأَنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ٨٢
The meaning in English
And those who had desired (for a position like) his position the day before, began to say: "Know you not that it is Allâh Who enlarges the provision or restricts it to whomsoever He pleases of His slaves. Had it not been that Allâh was Gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up (also)! Know you not that the disbelievers will never be successful.

التفسير الميسر
وصار الذين تمنوا حاله بالأمس يقولون متوجعين ومعتبرين وخائفين من وقوع العذاب بهم: إن الله يوسِّع الرزق لمن يشاء من عباده، ويضيِّق على مَن يشاء منهم، لولا أن الله منَّ علينا فلم يعاقبنا على ما قلنا لَخسف بنا كما فعل بقارون، ألم تعلم أنه لا يفلح الكافرون، لا في الدنيا ولا في الآخرة؟
