سورة البقرة، الآية ٢٢٤Surah Al-Baqarah, ayah 224 (2:224)
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ ٱللَّهَ عُرۡضَةً لِّأَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡ أَن تَبَرُّواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ وَتُصۡلِحُواْ بَيۡنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ٢٢٤
The meaning in English
And make not Allâh’s (Name) an excuse in your oaths against your doing good and acting piously, and making peace among mankind. And Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower (i.e. do not swear much and if you have sworn against doing something good then give an expiation for the oath and do good).

ولا تجعلوا -أيها المسلمون- حلفكم بالله مانعًا لكم من البر وصلة الرحم والتقوى والإصلاح بين الناس: بأن تُدْعَوا إلى فعل شيء منها، فتحتجوا بأنكم أقسمتم بالله ألا تفعلوه، بل على الحالف أن يعدل عن حلفه، ويفعل أعمال البر، ويكفر عن يمينه، ولا يعتاد ذلك. والله سميع لأقوالكم، عليم بجميع أحوالكم
