سورة هود، الآية ٨Surah Hud, ayah 8 (11:8)
وَلَئِنۡ أَخَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ مَّعۡدُودَةٍ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحۡبِسُهُۥٓ أَلَا يَوۡمَ يَأۡتِيهِمۡ لَيۡسَ مَصۡرُوفًا عَنۡهُمۡ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ٨
The meaning in English
And if We delay the torment for them till a determined term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Verily, on the day it reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be surrounded by (or fall in) that at which they used to mock!

التفسير الميسر
ولئن أخَّرنا عن هؤلاء المشركين العذاب إلى أجل معلوم فاستبطؤوه، ليقولُنَّ استهزاء وتكذيبًا: أي شيء يمنع هذا العذاب من الوقوع إن كان حقًا؟ ألا يوم يأتيهم ذلك العذاب لا يستطيع أن يصرفه عنهم صارف، ولا يدفعه دافع، وأحاط بهم من كل جانب عذاب ما كانوا يستهزئون به قبل وقوعه بهم
