سورة يونس، الآية ٣٩Surah Yunus, ayah 39 (10:39)
بَلۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِمَا لَمۡ يُحِيطُواْ بِعِلۡمِهِۦ وَلَمَّا يَأۡتِهِمۡ تَأۡوِيلُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ٣٩
The meaning in English
Nay, they have belied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did belie. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)!

التفسير الميسر
بل سارَعوا إلى التكذيب بالقرآن أول ما سمعوه، قبل أن يتدبروا آياته، وكفروا بما لم يحيطوا بعلمه من ذكر البعث والجزاء والجنة والنار وغير ذلك، ولم يأتهم بعدُ حقيقة ما وُعِدوا به في الكتاب. وكما كذَّب المشركون بوعيد الله كذَّبت الأمم التي خلت قبلهم، فانظر -أيها الرسول- كيف كانت عاقبة الظالمين؟ فقد أهلك الله بعضهم بالخسف، وبعضهم بالغرق، وبعضهم بغير ذلك
