سورة التوبة، الآية ٨٦Surah At-Tawbah, ayah 86 (9:86)
وَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتۡ سُورَةٌ أَنۡ ءَامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَجَٰهِدُواْ مَعَ رَسُولِهِ ٱسۡتَـٔۡذَنَكَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلطَّوۡلِ مِنۡهُمۡ وَقَالُواْ ذَرۡنَا نَكُن مَّعَ ٱلۡقَٰعِدِينَ ٨٦
The meaning in English
And when a Sûrah (chapter from the Qur’ân) is revealed, enjoining them to believe in Allâh and to strive hard and fight along with His Messenger, the wealthy among them ask your leave to exempt them (from Jihâd) and say, "Leave us (behind), we would be with those who sit (at home)."

التفسير الميسر
وإذا أنزلت سورة على محمد صلى الله عليه ولم تأمر بالإيمان بالله والإخلاص له والجهاد مع رسول الله، طلب الإذن منك -أيها الرسول- أولو اليسار من المنافقين، وقالوا: اتركنا مع القاعدين العاجزين عن الخروج
