سورة الأنفال، الآية ٥٤Surah Al-Anfal, ayah 54 (8:54)
كَدَأۡبِ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَأَغۡرَقۡنَآ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَكُلٌّ كَانُواْ ظَٰلِمِينَ ٥٤
The meaning in English
Similar to the behaviour of the people of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh), and those before them. They belied the Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) for they were all Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).

شأن هؤلاء الكافرين في ذلك كشأن آل فرعون الذين كذبوا موسى، وشأن الذين كذبوا رسلهم من الأمم السابقة فأهلكهم الله بسبب ذنوبهم، وأغرق آل فرعون في البحر، وكل منهم كان فاعلا ما لم يكن له فِعْلُه من تكذيبهم رسل الله وجحودهم آياته، وإشراكهم في العبادة غيره
