سورة النساء، الآية ٨٤Surah An-Nisa, ayah 84 (4:84)
فَقَٰتِلۡ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفۡسَكَ وَحَرِّضِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَكُفَّ بَأۡسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَٱللَّهُ أَشَدُّ بَأۡسًا وَأَشَدُّ تَنكِيلًا ٨٤
The meaning in English
Then fight (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) in the Cause of Allâh, you are not tasked (held responsible) except for yourself, and incite the believers (to fight along with you), it may be that Allâh will restrain the evil might of the disbelievers. And Allâh is Stronger in Might and Stronger in punishing.

فجاهد -أيها النبي- في سبيل الله لإعلاء كلمته، لا تلزم فعل غيرك ولا تؤاخذ به، وحُضَّ المؤمنين على القتال والجهاد، ورغِّبهم فيه، لعل الله يمنع بك وبهم بأس الكافرين وشدتهم. والله تعالى أشد قوة وأعظم عقوبة للكافرين
