سورة النور، الآية ٣٤Surah An-Nur, ayah 34 (24:34)
وَلَقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٍ وَمَثَلًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوۡاْ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمَوۡعِظَةً لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ ٣٤
The meaning in English
And indeed We have sent down for you Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) that make things plain, and the example of those who passed away before you, and an admonition for those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

ولقد أنزلنا إليكم- أيها الناس- آيات القرآن دلالات واضحات على الحق، ومثلا من أخبار الأمم السابقة المؤمنين منهم والكافرين، وما جرى لهم وعليهم ما يكون مثلا وعبرة لكم، وموعظة يتعظ بها من يتقي الله ويَحْذَرُ عذابه
