سورة يوسف، الآية ١٧Surah Yusuf, ayah 17 (12:17)
قَالُواْ يَٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّا ذَهَبۡنَا نَسۡتَبِقُ وَتَرَكۡنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَٰعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئۡبُ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُؤۡمِنٍ لَّنَا وَلَوۡ كُنَّا صَٰدِقِينَ ١٧
The meaning in English
They said: "O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Yûsuf (Joseph) by our belongings and a wolf devoured him; but you will never believe us even when we speak the truth."

التفسير الميسر
قالوا: يا أبانا إنا ذهبنا نتسابق في الجَرْي والرمي بالسهام، وتركنا يوسف عند زادنا وثيابنا، فلم نقصِّر في حفظه، بل تركناه في مأمننا، وما فارقناه إلا وقتًا يسيرًا، فأكله الذئب، وما أنت بمصدِّق لنا ولو كنا موصوفين بالصدق؛ لشدة حبك ليوسف
