سورة آل عمران، الآية ٩٨Surah Ali 'Imran, ayah 98 (3:98)
قُلۡ يَٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ٩٨
The meaning in English
Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayât of Allâh (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) while Allâh is Witness to what you do?"

قل -أيها الرسول- لأهل الكتاب من اليهود والنصارى: لِمَ تجحدون حجج الله التي دلَّتْ على أن دين الله هو الإسلام، وتنكرون ما في كتبهم من دلائل وبراهين على ذلك، وأنتم تعلمون؟ والله شهيد على صنيعكم. وفي ذلك تهديد ووعيد لهم
